A 'how to' for the perfect long-lasting holiday lipstick;
A 'how to' for the perfect long-lasting holiday lipstick;
1. Try not to cover your lips with your foundation when applying your base, this makes it harder to see the natural outline of your lips.
2. For this look I've used Barry M's pencil lip liner in Red (only £2.99). It doesn't matter how rough or thick you draw the outline of your lips so long as you're happy with the shape. Mine isn't perfect in the picture but you can fix it when you apply your lipstick.
3. I used Rimmel's Provocalips 16 hour kiss proof lip colour, 550 - Play with Fire, this really does last. I tend to start applying the lipstick from the edge, following my lip line and then fill in, focusing on the top lip first.
4. When it's first applied, this lipstick and all of the other 16/24 hour ones appears shiny and feels sticky.
For this lipstick to last as long as possible, it is very important that you let it dry; it becomes almost matte.
5. When dry, you should be able to run your finger across your lips without it sticking or removing any of the colour. This means it's time to apply the balm that gives you the shiny moisturising effect.
Apply this as you would any lip gloss - and reapply every few hours to avoid dry lips.
Now that you've got movie star lips, with a lipstick you don't constantly have to check, go and party!!
Hope this has helps,
Stay Excellent
