Open Evening and Whack Fashion!

Tonight is my school's annual open evening; an evening to entice the young year 6's and their parents and to try and convince them to come to our established establishment.

I received an email and was 'thrilled' to hear that the school had chosen the 6th form to help. Okay so less little people, the reasons for this I can understand. And they want us to wear smart formal clothes; and I have to admit I am a little excited...

I may be one of few, but I don't mind wearing 'worky' clothes. To be honest its refreshing and me and my friends have agreed that everyone looks better in suits - especially the boys! ;) and you know what; I don't understand why, in today's society boys are seen as more attractive when they have snap-backs and low sitting trousers compared to boys who wear suits. Don't get me wrong the hair is getting better, but some of the male fashions have just gone so whack!

And its not just the boys; my school had to clarify in the letter I received that if we were to wear skirts they had to be of a reasonable length! Surely there is something wrong with the fact that we have to be reminded that our skirts have to be of a length that conceals our butt cheeks?!

Marilyn Monroe was an amazing lady with a fantastic hourglass figure and we could learn a few things from her; she said

"your clothes should be tight enough to show you're a woman
but loose enough to show you're a lady."

Just my opinion, so don't take it to heart!

I Want To Read More This Year!!

I want to read more this year! I want to write and I want to create! But mainly I want to read; time completely ran away from me at the end of last year and throughout January. And its definitely a goal this year to find the perfect balance between all the areas I want my life to be thriving on. Lush Review - Yoga Bath Bomb

I give you the Yoga Bomb!  Step 1: Run a bath  Step 2: Drop bath bomb  Step 3: Watch  Step 3 and a half: Wait for the bomb to dissolve fully  Step 4: Photograph  Step 5: 'Ooohh' at the newly revealed colours  Step 6: Stare at the new glittery colour your bath water has turned  Step 7: 'Oooohh' some more  Step 8: Relax and indulge So this bath bomb wasn't (in my opinion) anything special. Yes the colours were pretty and the glitter was cool, but as for aroma - there was little to none, so I didn't find it anymore relaxing than a normal bath. Well, except the fact that I was bathing in liquid that was a very impressive pigmented orange colour (I did fear I might step out of the bath and have to scrub off the pigment that had attached itself to my skin; luckily this was not the case.).  On first impressions this bath bomb gave the water an immediate sort of slimey feel which thankfully subs...
