Lush Review - Yoga Bath Bomb

Image
I give you the Yoga Bomb!  Step 1: Run a bath  Step 2: Drop bath bomb  Step 3: Watch  Step 3 and a half: Wait for the bomb to dissolve fully  Step 4: Photograph  Step 5: 'Ooohh' at the newly revealed colours  Step 6: Stare at the new glittery colour your bath water has turned  Step 7: 'Oooohh' some more  Step 8: Relax and indulge So this bath bomb wasn't (in my opinion) anything special. Yes the colours were pretty and the glitter was cool, but as for aroma - there was little to none, so I didn't find it anymore relaxing than a normal bath. Well, except the fact that I was bathing in liquid that was a very impressive pigmented orange colour (I did fear I might step out of the bath and have to scrub off the pigment that had attached itself to my skin; luckily this was not the case.).  On first impressions this bath bomb gave the water an immediate sort of slimey feel which thankfully subs...

Lush Review - Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

Image
The Lava Lamp Bath Bomb What a perfect name for this bath bomb, it does exactly what it says on the tin. It is literally a lava lamp in bath bomb form, so if you're a fan of the Lava lamp trend, then this could be for you! In its dry state the ballistic is such a bold orange, you cant help but smile, and the purple spots only accentuate this bright colouring. The colour is instantaneously transferred to the water as soon as it makes contact, which is always exciting to see! The pictures honestly don't do the bath bomb justice. at. all. It wasn't yellow at all in real life! The orange part of the bath bomb fizzed out much more quickly than the purple which left them floating and melting by themselves. The purple melted down and sat atop the water much like an oil would..  This preceded the Lava Lamp intentions of the Bath Ballistic, which was the most impressive part of the entire bath bomb (not including the initial colour burst). ...

Lush Review - Twilight Bath Bomb

Image
The Twilight bath bomb.     Plop.. Fizzle Brainnnn Soapy Swirls Floating Spaceship Jellyfish Thing Boring Soapy Residue Jellyfish Snake Jellyfish Alien Shiny water Purpleish Tint Okay, so not your average review, more some pictures with strange words underneath... Its different I guess?! I would make the assumption (if I saw this page) that the user wasn't very impressed with the bath bomb, if you too, made that assumption - then you would be correct! Honestly I didn't think this ballistic was anything special..  It takes a long time to fizz, which is always a bonus and unless you want an extremely short bath, much appreciated. There was a lot of pink going on with some blue (as you can see in the jellyfish) and I noticed a fair few specs of yellow. And a hell of a lot of glitter!!! If you're not a fan of glitter, you won't like this bath bomb.  However with such a strong set of colours in the ac...

Lush Review - Blackberry Bath Bomb

Image
The Blackberry bath bomb This has to be one of my favourite bath bombs, not just because I love the colour it turns my bath or the enthralling smell, but also because it only has nine ingredients. Which, for someone who has recently become much more aware of the chemicals she's exposing her body to, is a great relief. List of ingredients; - Sodium Bicarbonate - Citric Acid - Perfume - Bergamot Oil - Frankincense Oil - Hexyl Cinnamal - Lilial - Colour 42053 - Colour 17200 The moment before you drop the ballistic into the water is, in my opinion, the best part. You're waiting to see the burst of life this bath bomb is given and it's a thrilling wait that I always struggle with. The Bath bomb sinks at first but is quick to pop back up to the surface, so that you can see its explosion in great detail. You can instantly see the change in the colour of the bath water and it's fair to say no one could be disappointed; especially when the...

Lush Review - The Experimenter

Image
Some people love having a crisp and clear bath, just to have a general soak. Recently, however, like many ladies, I've become a little obsessed with Lush bath bombs. I always have a hard time picking one out though... For christmas I was given a rather large supply of bath bombs from Lush and I hate to admit but they're almost all gone. :( So with my supply dwindling I chose 'The Experimenter', I have tried this before and if I'm completely honest it didn't leave a very lasting impression. It defies the usual circular ballistics with a hexagonal prism, that does make it stand out from the crowd. it is also very colourful, which will definitely draw your attention to it - cream and gold on one side and pink and blue on the other, split down the middle by a smooth purple. The moment before you drop in the bath bomb is when I always hold my breath, waiting to see what happens and what secrets are revealed by the fizz is one of my favourite parts of ...
