Gone With The Wind...

So yesterday, me and mum had one of those amazing chill days when you just lounge around in trackies doing little jobs and watching telly and we watched Gone with the Wind. Gone with the Wind is a 4 hour film, but its well worth the watch. Its an old film set in America during the Civil War and focuses on the 'life of petulant southern belle Scarlett O'hara'. And it got me thinking... During the film Scarlett gets married three times, the first time to someone to make another man jealous, to the second for money and for the third love (I think). But I just think that Marriage really is one of the beauties of our past and its a shame that people don't value it as much anymore. Honestly I think it is amazing how people married and it really was a promise that they kept. They lived in an age, in which, if something was broken they would fix it and not just take the easy way out! And I think that our generation really could learn from past generations, everyone seem

F*** Education - uncensored rant about the screwed up system of 'Education'

Do we really need education??                                                   No. We need to learn, to be taught how to learn, to love what we learn about! so many teenagers have put themselves under such stress and hurt - just because our society is dependant on ALevel's to tell us how intelligent and how capable for a job we are. And when do we ever use the things we learnt about. I'm not joking; I'd love for one adult, who hasn't pursued a career in maths or science, to tell me when they have once in their life used any of the equations they learnt in maths or the scientific expressions they learnt in science... Okay so I didn't do too well in my exams at AS and was distraught and hated myself for a while because I couldn't understand what I'd done wrong! I'd done all the required revision (and I'm not lying - I actually did because at that point some part of me actually wanted to go to university or just to have that option) a

Autumn

It hard to believe that it's still autumn and winter doesn't start until December the 21st... I'm already in my cosy woolly jumpers and I'm using a blanket when sitting on the sofa watching telly. And I think this weather calls for the daily use of at least a scarf. Autumn just amazes me and it's definitely my favourite season, the colour of the earth becomes so much more dramatic, yet calming. The leaves take flight and land in piles that produce that almighty crunch, the wind increases its speed; sending a chill through the atmosphere and the world feels peaceful. Hope you're all enjoying Autumn as much as me... Stay Excellent - thegirlwiththekey

Hoorayy for the nothing days!!

Hey, so I haven't blogged in a few days - it was my bestest friends 18th birthday so I was preparing for her special day, I hope you had the greatest day ever Sarah - love youuuuuu!! But anyway, today I've had a day off because my lack of sleep has drained me! And thus going to school would be silly as my quality of work would be unsatisfactory and all that jazz! But I just thought I'd write a little about the spontaneous days off that turn out to be the most relaxing. You gotta love them because yes you have to catch up on the work you miss, but I think everyone forgets actually how much you can get done if you don't go to school. The days can be so productive, as long as you don't just watch telly. You can wear the clothes you are most comfy in, with your hair in a bun and just do all sorts, for example I actually tidied my room and surfed the interwebs for an hour or two, enjoyed my lunch at 11;30 and read a few chapters of The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia A

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!

Image
So today, test day!  The day started off, slightly panicked; I couldn't find my license ( which you need to do your test ) and thus panicked for a little while before my driving instructor picked me up. I got in the car and we went over the show me tell me questions, two of which are asked by the examiner and then set off driving. It was a very calm drive down to the test centre and we were a little early, so we drove around for a bit and then I did a bay park in the test centre! And at 11:11 I had my test!  We went into the test centre and sat down; no sign in was needed, we just sat there. And the the examiner came out and called my name, asked me to show him my license, asked me to sign a sheet and we then went out to the car!  He asked me to open the bonnet and to answer the two show me tell me questions which I answered correctly! And then told me to get in the car!  He gave his introduction into the test and then said that the independent part of the test would begin then. &#

New Piercings!!

Image
So I went to Westfield on Thursday and me and my friend Yasi got some new piercings!! :D We went with 6 other friends but split so that we could go and get our piercings done. It was a 5 minute walk from Westfield Stratford and there was a queue but it went down very quickly - so within 20 minutes of getting there it was my turn. I walked into the room and told the lady I wanted a microdermal in my wrist and a side transverse lobe piercing! She sat me down marked my wrist, numbed it, I looked away and it was done, woooo! I have a wrist piercing! I then began to feel a little faint so I sat down in front of the cold fan whilst Yasi had her cheek pierced (again :P ) and her Medusa bar changed! I then sat down in the piercing chair again, she numbed my ear and I was again pierced with a new ear piercing!! So yeah I now have the grand total of 8 body piercings; 7 in my ears and 1 in my wrist! NewWristPiercing-30.10.2014 The reasons I have so many piercings - personal prefere
