Just a quick post, So I've changed the name of my blog! I've been contemplating this for a while - originally being The Girl With The Key was all about being a sort of anonymous whilst still being someone, if you get my drift. So now that I've practically finished school and can be more of who I am, without feeling judged I thought a name change was in order! So this is it; the final week. It's the last week before the start, the start that will shape the rest of our lives, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in - oh wait now I'm reciting marriage vows, but you get the idea; it's gonna be one hell of a beginning!! For me, it's the realisation that the 'sun'll come out tomorrow' and the day after that and after that and that and... Okay that sounds strange but I think it's only just dawned on me that unfortunately I dont have the power to stop time and pause it for a while, so that my heart can catch up with my head! Some of my closest friends are moving away to university and it just doesn't seem real; it was only an hour ago that exams were finished, summer had started and we were planning the best summer of our lives. (which it was btw! :P) But now they're all grown up and moving out and the rest of our lives are just waiting for us and although it's happening as we sp

Okay so I wrote this poem a while back and found it today. Now I don't want to have another rant about the education system; you can read my previous one  here .  But I think a point needs to be made about how there has been a drastic rise in teens with mental disorders and something needs to be done about it!  Don't adults understand that before we turn 19years old the average UK child sits over a whopping 40 or so exams! And we are given the false pretence that if we don't pass we wont do well in life - of course that's going to affect us... and it is not true! I've recently read that students today have the same anxiety levels as people living in insane asylums in the 1950's, not good for our future is it?! I do think some institutions are realising that our health is important and are doing things about it, Cheltenham ladies college for example and more should do the same. Its okay! You are not alone, almost everyone is bullied, and you'd be surprised to know that a lot of bullies have been bullied themselves in the past. Because of this they may not even realise that they are bullying you. The most important thing is to hold your head up high , if you have done nothing wrong and they have made something out of nothing, that is not your fault, they are trying to get a reaction from you - don't give them the satisfaction! Don't retaliate but don't suffer in silence , tell someone you can trust, whether it be a best friend, a family member, or a teacher (although I understand if you don't want to tell a teacher; they always have the worst methods of dealing with bullies *just an opinion*) People are usually picked on because bullies are jealous, not always but on occasion, bullies have a stereotypical trait of wanting to make people feel small and worthless. Y ou are not worthless . No one is worthless and should never be made

Just a little update from my wildly exciting (:/) life, full of revision at the moment;  I dyed some of my hair purple, you know YOLO! and I use that term loosely because I've never been one to use the newly conventional slang like 'banta' and its polygamous spellings. But yeah so now the bottom end of my hair is purple - it used to be the generic ombre that was done very well by my hairdresser but its just so eugh you know, after a while, I wanted something unnatural, unconventional and any other un-word you can think of (that fits into this sentence).  So I went into Sainsburys and bought this; And went from this, (which we can all agree is very normal and blandly exciting :P) To this, which as one of my friends pointed looks very mermaid like in this picture; And honestly it makes me so happy - I can say I have purples in ma hair!! Magic should run the world! I think its so important for people to believe in magic - not just children, but adults too; there's so much that we can't understand in this world, so why can't magic be the cause of it? I think magic leads to happiness, and not just because its magic that we believe in things but because of the creatures that come with it! I think people are unnecessarily ignorant if they don't believe in magic, there's no reason not to and imagine how many fairies have died because of people not believing?!! *News flash* Compassion is the way forward!! Just in case you didn't know what compassion is, according to google, its the sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. But I think its important, as I have found out this week, that those that you treat with compassion are the ones worthy of it, and that's not something I'd usually say; I'm all for treating others as you wish to be treated. I think that's a great mantra to live by and I know that you're supposed to live life selflessly. But lets be real here, no one ever got anywhere being selfless... so when there's someone you don't like, don't feel guilty about not liking them, they'll be irrelevant in like 20 minutes, and completely out of your life in 3 years, so really you shouldn't feel bad about despising someone!! Obviously there should be some reason as to why you have great feelings of hate for someone; its just plain rude and judging for you

Life is a dance, there's all those twists and turns, the ups and downs, partners and no partners! Joy should be unconfined - there is no business in keeping it trapped, no enjoyment or fun either but definitely no business. Dance like no one is watching, or like everyone is! This is such a great play on words and I think that when one reads this for the first time, we instantly think that it says the present, because that's what were accustomed to hearing alongside 'time'! I think todays quote is one of my favourites so far; How amazing is that quote, this Buscaglia chap must be one smart guy... I think its brilliant, live nutty, well that's enough in itself. Just for one day act precisely as you want to and not as you 'should'! Afternoon, I'd like to focus on one section of this quote; 'don't be afraid', this is really important, whatever you're scared of. whether its the monster under the bed, heights or if you're scared that life will never get better. Heya, I can just tell that this is going to be one of those weeks where everything happens at once, but the key to overcome this is to just take everything one step at a time; focus on one thing and let nothing else interfere, use your time wisely though and maybe create a plan! Who knew a bunch of quotes could be so right?       When I gave myself this challenge I had only a brief idea of what would be in these cards and honestly there is no way I could have guessed that the quotes would actually have an influence on my life!   And this is the precise quote for anyone wishing to do anything that they know will make them incredibly happy; 'Right now is a good a time' and as good as any other. Hey there, so todays quote is and this can be interpreted in two ways; in the perspective of the parent who should never lose their child and should keep them close, or the perspective of the individual ( now this is the one that I think mencius was really think of when he wrote this, but I mean who knows, the author really meant the curtain was blue... ) But I think he means that we should never grow up too fast and should always save and keep the heart we had as children and never lose it or leave it behind.. SUP! I know for me and many of my friends, the next step in life is right around the corner and for most 18 year olds who have been doing Alevels for the past year and a half, university is the most reasonable choice. Heyy, so as you know I haven't blogged at all throughout February, I've just been super busy, I had mocks and have recently started making a wooden flat packed chair in my product design course, so I basically had no free time. :( But anyway to get back into the swing of blogging, I've set myself a challenge and have decided to write a post a day for 30 days with help from a little gift I got in my stocking this year from Santa...
